    Hi,

    I have a Tevion 530S (think it's the same as an Ellion 530s) DVD Burner. Since yesterday, when I attempt to play a DVD it tries to read it, makes a series of clicking sounds, then says "NO DISC". However, it still plays VCDs, SVCDs and Audio CDs fine. I've tried various DVDs with no luck and also set the region code to "0".

    If it wasn't for the fact that it can still read CDs it would be in the bin already, but I haven't completely given up hope (yet). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    It seems the DVD laser may be gone bad since it plays CDs but not DVDs.

    Yup i think Bevills1 is correct on this one .... time to get a new drive .... at least they are cheap these days
