  1. As of at least a few weeks ago, I was able to use see the .m3u8 links while playing a video in a browser. They were then easily saved with livestreamer.

    Now when playing a video the video shows up as directly saveable .ts files, a few seconds long.

    eg. https://www.nbc.com/days-of-our-lives/video/friday-september-15-2017/3581450

    I have no idea where to go from here....

    I'm Having the issue of downloaders only downloading the ads.

    Usually I can download videos from nbc fine with the allavsoft video downloader app. i just throw the link in the app in it detects and DLs the video fine.

    But recently NBC has locked some its content.You need a cable sub or you create a account on nbc and watch 3 locked videos without needing a cable sub. so i need to actually be on the web browser to download the video.

    But all the add-ons and extensions video dls only download the ads. i've tried Internet download manager,video download helper, there is a allavsoft extension but that doesn't seen to show up on nbc's site

    Anyone have any ideas?

    youtube-dl supports provider authentication. If you are using the "3 free" login instead of provider authentication, then view the network traffic using browser developement tools and filter for a url that looks something like this;

    Code:
    http://nbcmpx-a.akamaihd.net/video/406/163/171026_3608907_In_Broad_Daylight_anvver_7_4000.mp4?hdnea=st=1509829829~exp=1509842459~acl=/video/406/163/171026_3608907_In_Broad_Daylight_anvver_7_*~id=d19125f0-d596-4d6e-bba6-029534c3f85e~hmac=13e980fb314d01fdcb0377d00be8206b4c3ab16e
    It should download super easy. There is also hls which can be downloaded with livestreamer or streamlink.
