    Hello is anyone still here?
    I'm having a problem with AVStoDVD where the audio and video are out of sync. The audio is a few seconds ahead of the video.

    Below is a copy of the log file from my last conversion.....

    I don't see anything wrong, the only red flag is the VFR video, although FFvideosource and the way it's encoded forces a
    constant frame rate and everything usually works. You could always add DelayAudio() to the script, assuming it syncs OK, except for its offset

    Thanks for the response. I have made many video DVDs from these type of mpg videos before but since I got my new laptop I've noticed this problem with the audio not in sync. Could it be my new Windows 11? I don't see why that would cause a problem. I'm not using the Windows codecs but the LAV ones.

    perplexing.

    If it's a file you can share upload it somewhere and I'll take a look.
    Perhaps first you should change your Avisynth audio source filter to FFmpeg (FFaudiosource) in the settings and retry

    Thanks for the reply. I am using FFmpeg (AviSynth) for the audio. Should I choose one of the other selections? Such as FFmpeg+Aften or FFmpeg(safe mode)?

    What about Auto Adjust Delay? I have that selected.

    I don't know how to add a delay to the audio. I don't see it in the preferences window.

    I don't mind sharing the video file but it is about 10 GB so too large to upload here.

    Do you mean an avs script will provide the source video to AVStoDVD?

    It does work, but make sure the script is good. You can drag the script into vdub2(32 bit version) and check for errors

    Yes that's what i meant.

    The error reads:

    Cannot find a valid
    'C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\AVSInfo.log' file.

    Followed by Cannot read media.

    Code:
    AVISource("I:\Video.avi")
    AssumeTFF()
    AssumeFPS(25)
    ConverttoYV12()
    SmoothTweak(brightness=-10,contrast=1)
    ex_vibrance(1.3)
    I think i know what might be the problem now. It installed AviSynth whilst i installed AVStoDVD, and it's not recognising the AviSynth+ plugins like SmoothTweak. I let it install, as it kept saying there was no AviSynth installed on the system (when there was) unless AVStoDVD is not compatible with AVISynth+?

    When i load the file into VirtualDub2 it brings up an error 'There is no function named "SmoothTweak".

    It is compatible with the plus version of Avisynth. Sounds like you need to get that working before anything else.
    A2d installs an old version of Avisynth, that may not be what you want.
    You can always deny it during the A2D install ( too late now)

    Ok i've uninstalled A2D and AviSynth, and reinstalled without it. It appears A2D was loading the old version of Avisynth from the Sys64WOW folder from a file called 'Avisynth.dll' So i downloaded the latest version of AviSynth+ (didn't install it) but copied and pasted the 'Avisynth.dll' file to the Sys64WOW folder and A2D loaded successfully. Dragged the AVS file into it, but still getting the same log file error as above.

    A2d is a 32 bit app, so you need the 32 bit versions of whatever Avisynth plugins you're using.
    As I mentioned before check the script in vdub2 or AVSPmod (32 bit versions)

    This is what i get when i load it into vdub2 now. SmoothTweak and ex_vibrance are in black.

    I don't think ex_vibrance has a 32 bit version, not 100% on this. Not sure where i found it, but it was made by someone.

    Avisource needs a Video for Windows (VFW) codec installed for the particular codec used by the source file
    http://www.avisynth.nl/index.php/AviSource

    Perhaps you should download Lsmash and get that working, then you can use LWLIb source,
    works for almost any source file.
    https://github.com/HomeOfAviSynthPlusEvolution/L-SMASH-Works/releases
    Then instead of Avisource, you use something like this:
    Code:
    vid=lwlibavvideosource("c:\path\file.mp4")
    aud=lwlibavaudiosource("c:\path\file.mp4")
    audiodub(vid,aud)

    Just installed the latest codecs but that didn't do anything. Still getting that same AVI Import Filter error with L-Smash. Maybe it's because any 64-bit version of a filter isn't compatible with 32-bit vdub2.

    Perhaps encode your script in vdub2 to a lossless intermediate, such as. FFV1,
    Then use that new source as input to A2D

    If I were you, I'd uninstall all versions of Avisynth, delete any manually added Avisynth.dll's from the syswow64 or system32
    and reinstall Avisynth Plus. Then you'll have a 32 bit and 64 bit environment setup.

    If you open a script with a 32 bit app, you must use 32 bit plugins, 64 bit app/64 bit plugins

    Oh dear i seem to be having the problem with vdub2 (64-bit version) too, whereas i wasn't before. Not sure what's gone wrong. I'll do that then, and see what happens.

    Thanks, that seemed to sort it all. As i suspected, ex_vibrance is a filter exclusive to Avisynth+ Is there any way to get it to work in A2D? As it's the only filter i've found where i can increase less saturated colours selectively, and prevent skin tones from becoming oversaturated

    You can try mp_pipeline, here is poisondeathrays example of how to set it up, allows 32 and 64 bit in same script:
    Code:
    MP_Pipeline("""

    ### platform: win32
    MPEG2Source("F:\A Video Files\DVD Rips\VTS_01_1.d2v", CPU2="ooooxx", Info=3)
    ### ###

    ### platform: win64
    AssumeTFF()
    AssumeFPS(25)
    QTGMC(preset="slow", matchpreset="slow", matchpreset2="slow", sourcematch=3, Lossless=2, TR2=2, EdiThreads=2, border=true)
    Spline64Resize(960,720)
    Crop(0,0,-6,0)
    AddBorders(0,0,6,0)
    ### ###

    ### platform: win32
    LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\asharp.dll")##
    asharp()
    ### ###
    """)
    Here's some extra info from poisondeathray about setting it up with the support files:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/413392-MP_Pipeline-Can-t-find-slave-executable?hig...ne#post2723349

    Altenatively you could encode an intermediate file in 64 bit Vdub2 as I mentioned above

    Did that, but now getting "Error 11 - Division by zero"

    I'll try the alternative encoding method if can't get this to work. Does vdub2 encode in interlaced?

    post the mediainfo report (text view ) here in the thread

    The other problem is that most filters are not designed to work properly on interlaced video.
    Have you checked this with the filters you're using?

    The ex_vibrance filter works fine in 64 or 32 bit, I opened the following script in vdub2 64 bit
    Code:
    import("c:\users\davex\downloads\gradepack.avsi")  # for dogways filters
    import("c:\users\davex\downloads\extools.avsi")    # for dogways filters

    vid=lwlibavvideoSource("S:\path\source.avi")
    aud=lwlibavAudioSource("S:\path\source.avi")
    Audiodub(vid,aud)
    ex_vibrance(1.2, mode="Saturation")  ## << example oly
    You should be able to use your original method and open the scrpt in A2D, it works for me using this script
