Hi,
I've installed the new patch for powerdvd 5 (this patches powerdvd from version 0603 to 0803).
But now, I can't play svcd's anymore
When I enable "show information" here is what I get:
Time: 00:00:00/00:00:00
Video: MPEG-2 0.00 Mbps
Audio: Dolby Digital 2.0 0Kbps
I noticed one thing, if I make an iso and the mount it with Daemon Tools I can play the SVCD.
So, My Powerdvd 5 isn't able to play svcd from cd but I play them without problem from my HDD.
My DVD Reader is: LG DRD-8120B
I have Windows 98 SE and 128 MB RAM
Here is my ASPI Details:
WNASPI32.DLL version 1,0,0,0
APIX.VXD version 4.00.952
WINASPI.DLL version 1.00
What Can I do To Resolve this problem ?????
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

First of all, you need to update to a newer version of ASPI. I recommend using ForceASPI (search for it on google) but if you want the absolute newest version, you are going to have to go to Adaptec's site and go through their needlessly complex installation process. If this doesn't do anything for you, make sure that your drives are in DMA mode rather than PIO mode, although I doubt this is the problem, it could cause this behavior.
If none of this works, I would completely remove PowerDVD from the system, deleting all files and folders manually after uninstalling and using regedit to remove all registry keys related to PowerDVD. Then reinstall it clean.
Good Luck,
Prospero
