DivX to XSVCD conversion problem

I tried to convert a divx file to mpeg 2 compatible xsvcd. To avoid audio and video sync problems, i converted the audio and video seperately. The video went correctly, but ran too fast. Instead of being 40 min long, the movie became twenty and ran extremely too fast, but looked good. What went wrong? Thanks in advance, JAT

The problem comes from the fps difference between your input and output (14.98 and 29.97).

Check ffmpegX 0.0.4a and try mpeg-2 (here you were encoding in mpeg-1).
