I have a problem with the sound of a party I filmed earlier this week.
I am a newbie in filming with a camera, learning every day, but made a mistake.
At the party where I was filming, played a brassband.
I forgot to put the micro level down. The sound is very loud and sharp.
Is there a way to clean up this sound, or to lower the volume and reduce the sharpness.
I use adobe premiere pro, and know that perhaps audition or soundbooth can help, but i am an absolute newbie with these 2 sound programs.
Can anyone give me some tips or manuals to do the job?
Steve

Seems like it's overloaded, but not in the digital sense (clipping).
See the commnets by GZsound in this thread. This is what I think you've got:

Unfortunately, the prognosis is not good.
