Everything from classical to house music. I always say "A Remix Can Make Or Break A Track". Some remixes are better than the original. I find myself listening to stuff I wouldn't have years ago. I don't care much for radio as it is based on rotation. I sometimes start listening to songs after they've been worn out by everyone else. Need to have a site where one can locate good internet stations that aren't based on rotation of the same 8 songs hour after hour.
I'm looking for a good 70's/80's country internet radio station, if you know of one let me know.
As for a few of my favorite artists/bands: Van Halen, New Order, Van Morrison, Lenny Kravitz, Kraftwerk, Smashing Pumpkins, Santana, Type O Negative, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Merle Haggard, ah there's too many to name. I forgot Justin Bieber, just kidding.

  5. I go to my son's shows and listen to my son sing his songs, (Folk/Country), but I don't listen to music for the sake of listening to music. I don't play CDs, I don't tune to music stations on the radio, and I don't go to concerts. The only time I deliberately listen to music is when I'm looking for something to go in a video, and then the selection gets pretty eclectic.

I listen to all types of music. Mostly 60's 70's rock, but I enjoy all music to a point. And with SXSW coming in a month where I live...I look forward to hearing more!

Sounds of nature like ocean waves or rain, maybe both together relax me. Also old hymns and praise songs.

Everything but RAP and that angst riddled "a girl and a piano/guitar" music that my wife tortures me with.

  16. Hmmm, mostly Hard Rock, A lot of Classic Rock. Experimental and Avante Guard music, Show Tunes and Jazz. The varieties depend upon my mood. Still an active concert goer. Just saw Pat Benetar with my wife (her favorite), going to see Monster Magnet this Sunday and Motorhead next Monday.

None of the candidates received 50% +1 vote.
We need a run-off between Hard Rock and Classic Rock.

It depends on what you mean by both definitions I guess. Its kinda vague.

I'm more middle of the road rock but no country or rap.
