Mpa to ac3 5.1

I've done a forum search but am unable to find an all in one program that reliably can convert mpa files to ac3 5.1 Surround. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your mpa file is stereo then there is very little in the way of automatically upmixing to 5.1. Soopfresh has a script discussion here : https://forum.videohelp.com/topic326127-30.html that does upmix stereo to 5.1, but it starts with an AVI file with Mp3 audio. You could join this thread and ask what would be involved in modifying the script for your purpose.
