Hi,
I'm looking for a software that can handle the new subtitle format (Timed Text Markup Language 2 (TTML2)).
More information on this format can be found here:
http://www.w3.org/Submission/ttml-ww-profiles/#bib-TTML2
and here:
http://www.w3.org/TR/ttaf1-dfxp/
This format is basically an XML file which is working similarly to idx file (i.e. contains the beginning and end time for each Image (PNG file) and the height and width.
The software I'm looking for is going to convert this XML file into equivalent XML file that is used for BDN Subtitles in order to dump it in BDSup2Sub and convert it to idx/sub subtitle format.
I tried Subtitle Edit, but it didn't work. This might be because the subtitle are PNG images.
Below is an the first few lines of the TTML file:
Any suggestions or help would be highly appreciated.Code:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <tt xmlns="http://www.w3.org/ns/ttml" xmlns:ns2="http://www.w3.org/ns/ttml#styling" xmlns:ns3="http://www.ayz.com/ns/ttml#metadata" xmlns:ns4="http://www.w3.org/ns/ttml#parameter" xml:lang="cr" ns4:timeBase="media" ns2:extent="1280px 720px"> <head> <metadata ns3:schemaVersion="0" ns3:packageId="1025" ns3:movieId="11180" ns3:uuid="fc5" ns3:textType="SUBS"/> </head> <body> <div ns2:extent="387px 102px" ns2:origin="446px 542px" begin="00:00:00.417" end="00:00:03.211"> <image src="1.png"/> </div> <div ns2:extent="415px 53px" ns2:origin="432px 595px" begin="00:00:03.295" end="00:00:05.255"> <image src="2.png"/> </div> . . . . <div ns2:extent="198px 56px" ns2:origin="541px 592px" begin="01:13:11.135" end="01:13:13.470"> <image src="1040.png"/> </div> </body> </tt>

You could try contact the developer of subtitle edit( http://www.nikse.dk/SubtitleEdit/ ) and see if he can add some kind of support. If it's not a too complex OCR to text conversion.
