  1. I'm using VirtualDubMod to split one AVI (XviD) file that I have into a couple different video files. From the main file, I set the start frame and then the end frame, save as -> direct stream copy. When I save, however, the new file doesn't begin on the frame that I set. It usually starts on what I think is a keyframe. How can I make it stop doing that? I think it usually ends on the right frame but I'm not certain.

Direct stream will start on a keyframe but u can end it whereever u want.

AFAIK you cant move keyframes, so you will have to re-encode (which sets your own beginning keyframe).
