  1. I was just curious if there was a way to play a DVD that has already been ripped to the hard drive nice and smoothly. Right now when I play it there is a little pause when it has to load the next .vob file. And that doesnt look too good if I wanted to output to VHS. Anyone know if I can smooth it out so it works like it does off the DVD? Thanks guys

You could merge all the VOB's into 1 big VOB file.

I don't think so, but as always the best thing to do is to try it out. I think the 2GB limit only applies to capturing avi files.

  5. hrm..sometimes playing the actual vobs in winDVD, etc....may not be a good idea because the vobs may not look like the actual dvd

i.e. u hear director's commentary instead of the actual movie audio, apsect ratio is full screen when it's suppose to be widescreen, etc...

encoding to SVCD and then recording onto VHS is best way to go...may not be easiest or fastest..but pretty good
