when I try to continue on a multisession DVD-R disk with nero 6 ... everything looks fine and in order, just like how I work on the CDR disk. However, when nero writes the 2nd session, the 2nd session data(newly added) are written together with the data from the previous session. in other words, the 1st session content are not retained and has to be written again in the 2nd session.
Is there a correct way to burn multisession DVD-R data ? just like the way we burn CDRs?

If I recall correctly, DVD-R does not support multisession (at least offically in its specs). On the other side of the coin, DVD+R does allow for multisession discs (not sure if it is "officially supported" though.)

even with CD-R, at least early days, you had to import the previous session
