First off I'll like to mention that I'm new here and "wow", what a great site.

I'm interested in converting old 8mm / 16mm reel to reel to digital. When I do a search for it all I get are companies that do the work. I'm interested in the equipment and want to do this myself. Any help would be great in pointing me in the right direction.

    Thanks
    Iceberg

  2. I've heard of 3 ways to do this:

1] Project it on a wall and use a video camera.
2] I've heard of a guy modifying a mouse somehow to click every time the shutter opened.
    3] A special lems

Can't remember WHERE I read it though. Probably here....
