I have wav's normalized with wavegain on suse. I've install ubuntu. There is no wavegain package on it. I use normalize-audio on ubuntu.

    user@1201HA:/home/Clips$ normalize-audio wavegain_item.wav
    Computing levels...
    wavegain_item 100% done, ETA 00:00:00 (batch 100% done, ETA 00:00:00)
Applying adjustment of 5,49dB to wavegain_item.wav...
    wavegain_item 100% done, ETA 00:00:00 (batch 100% done, ETA 00:00:00)

I would like normalize wav's with normalize-audio to the same audio level as wavegain before. May I obtain that?

Can't you use WINE to run wavegain.exe on any flavor of Linux

Thank you. Use wsl (windows subsystem for linux) would be preferable in my case. Suse wsl is free choosable.

  4. as a side note, since I have never used wavegain or normalize-audio: sox (http://sox.sourceforge.net/) might be worth a look (http://sox.sourceforge.net/sox.html)
