    Hi,
    I’m on Windows 10 and have been trying to solve a seemingly simple problem. I’m not sure if there’s a video player or some plugin FOR a video player that will do what I need.

    I have a lot of TV Shows, all in separate folders and I would like to be able to play a random video folder but I would like it to keep the file/episode order. So, rather than just playing random files from all the folders I would like to be able to watch random TV shows but I would like it to always play the episodes in order, if all that makes sense. It would seem to be a no-brainer type feature for video players but that’s just me. Any help or ideas would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

    vlc allows you to open a folder from the media top menu.

    The contents of that folder are then automatically sent to a Playlist. Default action is random playback but you can turn that off in the tools/preferences/all settings.
