    Hi,

I have some quicktime mov files which have in my opinion been encoded incorrectly. The footage plays as interlaced which is correct however mediainfo reports the scan type as progressive.

Normally when I play interlaced files in VLC, de-interlacing set to auto works fine but for these files I have to change the de-interlace setting to on. The other option I have is to export the files to DVCPRO with interlace enabled in the options.

Is it possible to correct the scan type in the header of the mov file without re-encoding?

Here is a download link to one of the mov files - https://www.sendspace.com/file/tlfq3c
