People say to avoid thin S-video cable, so I'm looking for thick shielded ones.

I own the 2ft in the first link and if it's not fake it is pretty good, eBay links don't mean anything you will have to try yourself. Also avoid long lengths, Interconnects should not exceed 3ft unless you have to.
