I looked at your screen shot, but I don't see an error. I see a standard "Possible RCE protection found" screen - is that the error you refer to? That is not an error, but rather is an indication that the DVD may employ Regional Coding enhancement.

What region code is your PC DVD drive set to?

I don't see an error either...

I see it asking you which region the dvd is and an okay button to continue.
It does not have anything to do with what region your drive is nor will it change or affect the region setting of your drive or anything else.

The OP's problem was that he cannot play the disc on his PC, see the first post. I still think it's region locked.
He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect.

  5. The DVDdecrypter screen shows the movie is region 1. The PC won't play it, because it thinks the DVD reader is not region 1. Isn't the problem is related to the DVD reader setup ?

    DVD region killer should work.

jadair7576, that is not an error in decrypter, and actually you can turn that off. open decrypter's settings and uncheck this box...

open your dvd drive's properties and under 'region' tab, check what region it is and if you have any remaining changes left.

Got a copy, and it has both 2.35:1 and 4:3 format.

The best was Kim Cattrall as Gracie Law

Lo Pan: What does it mean? Two girls with green eyes. After all these years.
Gracie: You bastard, unchain me. You're not gonna get away with this. Where's Lo Pan?
Lo Pan: This one has fire as well!

So SingSing, after almost 7 years on the forums and 2400 posts you thought that digging up an old thread from about 1 and half years ago was appropriate, just to tell us you bought a copy. Nice. Guess we all couldn't have lived without that knowledge. Yes indeed, that added so much to the original thread - not.

I never did buy the DVD of this ... at this point I might as well wait for a Blu-Ray release.

  12. We are into the sub-culture. We like Rocky picture horror show, Blade runner, Fargo, The ring .... and "Big trouble in little China" is as special as "The thing". Hmm, wonder who directed these movies ?
