I'll wait until Pioneer releases its DL model that can do -. Until then, I'll continue using my 106.

I don't have time for + at all
    If in doubt, Google it.

I have only ever used - because it works on all my devices.

Given that I have never used +, I find it extremely hard to believe that it is "better" than -. If it is, would you care to provide me with an example and a resoning as to why ?

As far as I am concerned, it all comes down to compatibility. I have extremely good compatibility with -, so why try anything else ? In the end, it is what works for me that is important to me. Good luck to you though.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. I use both formats

    1. I haven't find a single player that wouldn't play my + discs burned in my good old external Ricoh5125 (more than 50 players, borthers, parents neighbors,etc...)

    2. I have a Pioneer DVR106 that can write any DVD-R I have tried so far, even the ones that fail to burn in my friend's LG4040 and NEC1300

    3. I have used Nero AND RecordNow with very very few problems

  6. I use DVD-R and DVD+RW and I'm happy with both.

I'm even starting to warm-up to 2x DVD-RW media. Memorex media. And I've been using it with Nero lately. Whoda thunk?

So, you are giving up 4x DVD+RWs to 2x DVD-RWs?

You should be proud of yourself.

  10. Not one to get too involved in the +/- war but +RW beats the pants off -RW its actually useable.

  11. I've only burned - discs so I can't really say for sure if one format is better than the other. But from what I understand PS2 will only read backups that are written in the - format. Take it for what its worth but I see that as an advantage.

  13. The Sony Dual layer is available on preorder from Buy.com For $203 but there is a $10 off coupon at pricegrabber, so $193. I don't think Sony makes it.
