    I think this is the same player as the Tevion QS-808. Does anyone know if it is possilble to play sub or srt files with divx files on this dvd player? Is there a firmware upgrade that might allow me to play divx files with the subtitles?

    Come on someone out there must have some suggestion. I noticed that several people had bought the Tevion. Do you have any advice?

    You could just burn the files to a cdrw and test it yourself.

    I only have the DVP642, it will only use srt files and they must have the EXACT same name as the avi. Plus, to get them to work, I have to choose the subtitle file first in the file menu, press play, it reads the file into memory, and then choose the avi file and press play.

    It may be similar with yours.
