How to download a mpd dash stream 8?) from munin.live ?

hello guys,

unfortunatley youtube-dl and vlc fail me on this one. The videodownload helper only manages to download until about 60-70% and then crushes.
I have no idea what the ideal app would be to get this one. Here is the information which was extracted

Video DownloadHelper (with companion app) did not crash on my end when downloading the 1280x720 version (didn't try 1080p).
It just became somewhat slow at 60-70%.

One more thing, if Video DownloadHelper tries to re-encode your file, all you have to do is go to temp folder
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\
and find some weird vhd names of files
vdh-blabla.tmp
There should be 2, one for video one for audio.
Copy those out of the temp folder and change the tmp extension to mp4.
Then just use ffmpeg to join them

ffmpeg.exe -i v.mp4 -i a.mp4 -c copy muxed.mp4

thanks a lot [ss]vegeta. It took ages but it started to continue after a while from the 60-70%. I thought it was frozen but actually it wasn't it just took that amount of time.
However that videodownload helper needs over 5 hours to joint the temp audio and video is ridiculous. Thanks for your tip on the temp files. It worked great.

It's not just the time that is ridiculous (but it does re-encoding and it depends on your CPU so it's not that ridiculous it's kinda normal).
When you see the watermark, now, THAT is ridiculous.

haha thanks for the info on that. Glad that the vdh temp files are lossless. Crappy re-encoding is a pain and watermarks are sensless
