EAC started to insert an empty COMPOSER field in CUE sheets. Like this:

    Code:
    REM GENRE Jazz
    REM DATE 1959
    REM DISCID 410ABE05
    REM COMMENT "ExactAudioCopy v1.3"
    PERFORMER "Miles Davis"
    TITLE "Kind of Blue"
    REM COMPOSER ""
    FILE "Range.wav" WAVE
      TRACK 01 AUDIO
        TITLE "So What"
        PERFORMER "Miles Davis"
        REM COMPOSER ""
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 02 AUDIO
        TITLE "Freddie Freeloader"
        PERFORMER "Miles Davis"
        REM COMPOSER ""
        INDEX 00 09:23:12
        INDEX 01 09:25:06
      TRACK 03 AUDIO
        TITLE "Blue in Green"
        PERFORMER "Miles Davis"
        REM COMPOSER ""
        INDEX 00 19:10:34
        INDEX 01 19:12:13
      TRACK 04 AUDIO
        TITLE "All Blues"
        PERFORMER "Miles Davis"
        REM COMPOSER ""
        INDEX 00 24:47:68
        INDEX 01 24:50:07
      TRACK 05 AUDIO
        TITLE "Flamenco Sketches"
        PERFORMER "Miles Davis"
        REM COMPOSER ""
        INDEX 00 36:23:61
        INDEX 01 36:25:60
I don't know why this started to happen 'cause I didn't change anything in EAC configuration. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even find any option to control which fields are written in CUE sheets. I assume the program writes all the fields that aren't empty in the CD layout window. But if this is the case, then the COMPOSER field shouldn't be written because it's empty.

I know this isn't a huge problem, but I don't think it makes any sense to insert empty fields in CUE sheets. Besides, there are other fields that are empty (in this case, CD Performer and Genre) and these are not written in CUE sheets as empty fields.

I tried different CDs and different metadata providers, but the result was the same. Anyone has the same issue?

    Thanks.

  2. Please STOP write empty composer fields in CUE.
We don't need this garbage in CUE-files!
