  1. Hello all, I am a newbie and I had read as much articles which can find on web as I can and I still can't find a software that match my requirements.

The muxing software what I want is really simple.

    1) it can be run in cluster mode
    2) supports ASS subtitle file
    3) can run on Linux
    4) support UTF-8 or BIG-5 codec
    5) any action can done via command line console.

The simpler describe of my requirement is "MeGUI + Cluster Function in Linux Version + CLI".

The things I don't care: complex settings, commercial/freeware/open source(best)/etc. software

Does anyone knows a software match my requirement?

Thanks for any advise and reply.

"Really simple"? A muxer with cluster mode and a GUI?

Nope, you will not find anything like that.

Do you want to burn/hard code the subtitles? OR just muxing(switchable subtitles)?

I think you can use ffmpeg to burn in from ASS subtitles.

  7. I need to hard code and muxing the subtitles, because I will use mp4(hard code) and mkv(muxing) at the same time, I have tried ffmpeg before and it does not work.

Regarding the (reliable) multiplexing of ASS subs... you'd better use mkvmerge.
    As for the hard-subbing part...
well, I'm afraid there is no better solution than using Avisynth and VSFilter.dll, since libass sucks royally.
Avxsynth was designed to run on Linux, so maybe it works for you

    4) support UTF-8 or BIG-5 codec
    What

This mean support Chinese display. I guess Avxsynth is supported so just don't care about it.

And I have question about Avxsynth. Does it support cluster mode? I have viewed it Wiki, and it seems can't run in cluster. Or someone had made some script already so I can run it in cluster?
