  1. Youtube recommends to upload in mp4 container, but my Video Editor does not have this.

Is there a solution to it?

use a different editor/encoder or upload anything you want. youtube doesn't actually reject many formats.

No, it doesn't. It accepts a number of different container formats:

It might prefer MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, but it'll accept many others.

  4. My VE has mpeg4, h264 profiles to choose from

and i can choose what codec i want

    Is mpeg4 similar to mp4?

  5. H.264 is a subset of MPEG-4. It's MPEG-4 Part 10. It's beginning to look like you were wrong in claiming you can't export as MP4. Maybe if you gave the name of the 'Video Editor' someone that uses it or can find out the answer will say more definitively.

Are you trying to automatically upload through VSDC ?
Have you tried uploading manually instead?

  8. I never upload through vsdc, always manually. Thats why i dont know if i can believe that it has mp4

Post the specs of your failed upload. Use mediainfo in text view, put the info here.

Perhaps Youtube doesn't like AVC/mp3 inside an avi (just a guess)
Use avidemux to re-wrap the source into an mp4 using output format "mp4 muxer"

  13. But i dont save it as avi file, either mpeg4 or h264.

    Why does it say avi?

    From your attached mediainfo report:
    General
    Complete name : C:\Users\qq\Videos\Project 7.avi

Make sure you have file extensions visible in Windows it makes life much easier

  15. The video was actually mp4, it was a music video that i downloaded and used it in my VE.

Out of all codecs i use H264

Indeed it says AVI in the file properties. Why does my VE save it as avi?

You have to retrace your steps, you probably made a mistake somewhere

  17. Believe me ,all videos are mp4, after I save them with my VE they turn AVI.

Could you please watch the steps:

I choose blank project and click on finish.
    https://postimg.cc/7bGj9dVf

I add the video and as you can see, in output file it says"project2.avi" automatically, i did not change it.
    https://postimg.cc/5jLn6Vgq

as you can see it can not be changed into mp4, it says avi only
    https://postimg.cc/YvvHc0Nz

then I choose H264 in video codec settings and more, and then I save the video/export it.
    https://postimg.cc/xXh6XTw5

So why does it say in output file project2.avi?

Perhaps it's because of the mp3 audio. Try choosing aac. Beyond that I am not familiar with the editor. Once again, look at the options carefully

  21. It only says AVI profile editor whatever I set.

Edit, i can set also mpg, mov, wmv, mkv, swf, flv, but no MP4

Oh, sorry, there is an option to save the video for the internet, now it says mp4 too.

    I did not know that
