    hi

    anyone know of video capture sw for pc win 10 that can be set with a set cut off point - say 3 hours for vhs?

    In VirtualDub, Capture -> Stop Conditions. Units are seconds, so 3 * 60 * 60 = 10,800.

    would you happen to know what a good dv format i chose to capture to in virtualdub?

  5. if you capture 3 hours of content expect A/V desync. Focus on ~20min parts for best results
    DV codec are obsolete, focus on lossless codecs (lagarith, huffyuv or UTvideo); i recommend Utvideo (yv12 support and compress more if needed)
