  1. I have video that will show three numbers in properties such as 720 x 480 x 24. I understand the first two numbers, but what is the 24?

Have you googled? 24 = fps (FRAMES PER SECOND)

Now how would they know to google "24 = fps" when they did not know what the 24 stood for ?

    LOL!!!

I am wondering what said it was 24 ?

When i have a video that is 23.975 fps, when i right click on it under windows it say's that it is 23 fps, even though it is much closer to 24fps.

    Edit:
Actually, now that i check, AVICodec tells me a video is 23.975 fps, Gspot says it is 23.976 fps, while windows tells me it is 23fps...
    LOL!!

Yeah that's why i was curious as to what was telling them it was 24fps.

There is even a discrepancy between avicodec and gspot, although miniscule enough but more accurate than windows.

    24 could also mean 24 bits or 8bits each R, G, and B.

Ask this question in any search engine "Video resolution what does 24 mean?" and you are presented with a number of sites that will give you some clues, maybe even enlightenment.

It could be 24 bits but then the OP could have posted a full log from MediaInfo.

Don't mind me I'm cranky with the heat. Sydney is suffering a 6 day heatwave that has broken all recorded history for being over 108°F Global warming is back with a vengeance

While eastern USA has a major cold wave.

NoCAL had a cold Dec, but a warmish spring January.

    108 is normal summer.
