Opened the ASF video with GSPOT and it says video codec is WMV3 and name is WMP v9 (VC-1 Simple/Main).
Codec status is undetermined. I have WMP 11. Any idea on what the issue could be?

Yes, it will work in WMP but I can't manually seek.

Use something like asfbin to repair/reindex the ASF. That should allow you to seek in the file.

As for GSpot, it'll always say 'Codec status undetermined,' for ASF, WMV and WMA. I'm not sure why.
