  1. This is just a simple question to save myself time in trial and error. I am using TMPGEnc to encode high quality Avi's to MPEG's, during the wizard the Average video bitrate is automatically set to 3000kbits/sec. By increasing the bitrate to 4-5000, will I see any significant increase in video quality when viewed on a TV to justify the extra 2hrs encoding and the space taken up on the DVD??

  2. You may see an increase in quality if the source material is good enough. To find out the max bitrate you can use for a given playing length, go here
