Can anyone help me how to put a subtitle that can play in any dvd players!

Im so new in this thing, can you help me how to put the subtitles in a movie step by step so that i can burn it so i can just watch it in any dvd player. tnx a lot!

Firstly.You can burn data DVD in this you put the "name of file.avi" and "name of file.srt".The DVD player can play the sub correctly if the sub is english.
If the sub is other language the DVD player will not display correctly.
There are two way to solve.
1. Permanent add sub to movie use SubMux in VobSub software.But I don't like this way

The second way is to create DIVX.I use Sub2DivX.After divx is created you can switch 2 sub,turn off sub as DVD.But the problem is it is very difficult to display Other language such as Vietnamese correctly.
I still can't do it.Please help me.
