  1. I used a standard procedure of

    Using DVD Shrink in Reauthor mode to split some DVD content.

    That VOB set I put in Auto Gortdian Knot to make an AVI.

    On this job, the VOB looks ok in VLC (cropped right-- not skewed off screen)

    but the processed VOB file set had these unusual result: a picture not in framw though
    apparently intact.

    I've done this before and cannot track whatever error happened.

    You should open VTS_01_0.IFO in autogk. Not just the vob.

    Thanks, my bad. I had not done the procedure for a while. Will redo it with the IFO.

    I didn't think anyone still used AutoGK. Is it even still updated?

    No it is Abandonedware. It was good in its time but newer formats have rendered it redundant IMO.

  6. I'm becoming more familiar with tools like Handbrake.

    But for some things or special avi projects it is a swiss army knife of operations.

    For this topic I screwed something else up and to continue will have to start over.
