I have an '*.avi' file which has a yellow tinge to it, like not enough bright? light?
Is there software to brighten up the image?
Its not really worth $pending money on, so, freeware or trialware would suit the bill.

AviDemux also as some color adjustment filters.
Basically nearly every free tool which does video filtering has options for color adjustment.
Avisynth/Vapoursynth could be used for some more advanced color adjustments, but you probably would need to post a sample for detailed advice.
