  1. I have several episode DVD's (each DVD contains 4 Vobs) that I want to convert to AVI files. Is there any software that will do a BATCH convert or must I do each VOB manually?

    Thanks for your suggestions

Bump this up from the archives....

I have the same question. I have a directory with a bunch of DVD rips, like this:

DVD Rips -> Full Disc -> DVD Title -> VIDEO_TS

The were ripped using full DVD9 from DVDFab.

Now I'm trying to figure out a way to do a batch divx or xvid encode of all of these DVDs. The goal is to be able to watch them on my XBOX. I would like to have the software auto-detect the aspect-ratio, bitrate, resolution, etc to produce the highest quality.

    Any ideas?

It looks like AutoGK may fit the bill for me. Set to 100% quality and I can setup and add all the jobs then let it go! I'm giving it a go with 3 of them now.

I may try the AGK Batcher to run on top of it if I have any issues:

100% quality may produce a file larger than the source, or may produce a file larger than the 2GB limit imposed by many standalone playback devices. You can get comparable quality at lower file sizes if you are careful.
