I've heard that BD-R discs don't work well if you put a cd/dvd/br label on them.
    Is that true?

There's no size difference between any of those discs, but we discourage the use of stickers. In rare cases they can come loose during playback and very nasty, destructive things can happen. Also there's some thought that the adhesive may pull the disc layers apart and over time make your discs unplayable.

From what you're saying I can then conclude that if you're looking to sell a short film the minimum acceptable practice will be to use a printable bd-r.
    thanks for the confirmation.

It's the safest for the consumer to just print on the disc, yes. And if you're going to go that route, I'd advise against using the cheaper LTH variant of BD-R discs. Their compatibility with existing players is iffy and you really don't want to have to deal with angry customers who can't play your discs.

yup I'd worked that out (don't use LTH) based on other videohelp.com Threads and comments on Verbatim LTH on Amazon.com.
Thanks once again for the confirmation.
