    -It's on all fullscreen LD movies (widescreen I can crop it out)
    -I do not get it on VHS cap
    -not cable/wire specific
    -AVT-8710 doesn't fix it

    I want to say its the cap card/OS/driver, but..I don't get it from VHS cap
    Perhaps interference?

  2. Nobody worried about crap at the edges of the frame in the analog days because the outer ~5 percent of the frame couldn't be seen on TVs. See "overscan".

    OK, thank you, I agree, but I can clearly see it on my computer monitor, which means it will be seen on DVDs or whatever.
    And unless I'm going insane, this is **new**, as in, that line didn't used to be there. It's on every LD movie I play.

  4. Actually, you probably won't see it on a modern TV because TVs continue to overscan by default. If the problem is happening with all LD caps but not other caps that points to a problem with the LD player. You can always crop or mask it away.

  5. Or use BorderControl on it:

    BorderControl(YTS=4,YTSF=4)###or however many pixels thick it is

  6. Or otherwise fix it:

    Code:
    ImageSource("e0FnFqY.jpg")
    ConvertToYV24()
    Crop(0,44,-124,-128)
    fix = Crop(0,0,-0,7).ColorYUV(off_y=-20)
    Overlay(last, fix, x=0,  y=0)

    That's probably not the right fix but there aren't enough colors/intensities to say for sure.

    If you know enough about tv's you will not have any over scan so it will show.For what it's worth i wouldn't worry about it.
