  1. Hi! I find a freeware program who join and encoding with keep aspect ratio (black bars). It exists? If so, how? I tried with many software but without success, except Freemake Video Converter but after the upgrade to the paid version I abandoned this program, and so I'm looking for a better alternative to merge these videos with different resolutions and framerates. If they were identical footage, I could have used Direct stream copy to merge them without converting. But it's not like that, and that's why I'm looking for a program to JOIN AND CONVERT at the same time, keeping the original aspect ratio of the following videos (with the addition of black bars). I don't want a video editor, but a video joiner/converter. Thank you and I await your reply!

  2. Haven't seen any none-NLE program which does this (properly):
Basis idea, what would be needed to be done:
    a. Specify target frame rate, resolution (+ PAR).
    b. Analyze the inputs.
    c. Load each of the inputs, decode them as cfr (to deal with vfr), adjust resolution and frame rates to the chosen target values. Frame rate handling probably is the more tricky one.
    d. Append the files.
    e. Encode the files.
I thought about this for Hybrid, but dropped the idea since it seems simply too much hassle, for something that should better be done in an NLE.
=> I would recommend some NLE like Adobe Premiere or similar.

    ---
iirc transport streams should allow changing resolutions and frame rates inside a single file, so a quick and dirty way might be to remux all sources to transport streams and append the transport streams.

  3. Hybrid could have been good for merging and encoding videos, but I've read that this doesn't do it. The only program then is Freemake, but it is paid. I have the old versions, but they don't read 4K resolution; and it also had to be able to keep proportions with black bars included...

  4. However, here's the 5 videos to join. Note: in this some videos, especially for last three, haven't audio as default. I downloaded from Facebook.com. Here is:

  6. This is what we were doing with hydra3333, link. That thread has been quiet for a while, busy times, but recently I managed to sum it up into a package, also including videos (and its audio besides images), so in that link there might be a progress soon.
