Hello,
Almost all of divx files I download have slight(.5-1sec) out-of-sync problems. What can be the cause?
I use:
WinXP pro, anti-virus/firewall/internet off
DivxPlayer 2.5 - highest quality, optimized for Radeon
P4 2.26Ghz
768MB DDR RAM
WD800JB
SoundBlaster Live! MP3+
AIW Radeon 9700
If its the codec, which one should I try and how to config it?
THANK YOU!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Your hardware is certainly up to the task. To be honest, many divx titles are not synched up perfectly, so it may not be you! If you are not familiar with Virtual Dub (outstanding divx/xvid editor), it is very easy to adjust the audio synch to perfection. Do a google search to find places to grab it. The help guides here at dvdrhelp can walk you through the process. I have had very good luck with the ffdshow codec(s) for divx/xvid playback. Its default settings work fine, but if you have the interest, there are a ton of settings to play with.
Regards,
Ender
