  1. Hello.

I bought a Windows 10 DVD ( basic) and installed it.

But now when I turn on the PC, it appears a menu beginning with " Choose an operating system " and the option to choose between 2 Windows 10.
I only have one Windows installed so, why that question?
What must I do to eliminate this undesirable menu?

    Thank you.

If the Windows installer finds another installed version of Windows on the target disks then that version is added to the boot menu. The new version is installed next to the old version.

So to get rit of that boot from the dvd and when the part come to select the target disk wipe all partitions on it, create a new one and use that one to install windows.

Or use bcdedit to edit the boot menu but that can be challenging..

You can open msconfig and see if there is 2 entries in the boot and if they are for the same drive and just doubled so remove one, only do this if the entries point to the same drive.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
