I have ripped videos to stream on my Home Network. Using Serviio server the Panny plays the DTS as Dolby Digital 5.1 of the PMG format rips but "cannot play" message comes up when MKV ripped video is played. The Panny plays DTS and DD5.1 accurately if disc is played directly.
How can I get round this?
    Any help most appreciated.

first, check to make sure that the Panasonic BDT110 has the latest firmware update.
here is the PDF guide for your player - https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/images/bbb/manuals/DMP-BDT110/dmp-bdt310_operating...ce=bbbredirect it says Some DivX and MKV file may not be played back, depending on the video resolution and frame rate condition.
what program are you using to rip your videos to MKV ??

I downloaded the manual for the Panasonic BDT110 to find out what types of audio and video are supported for MKV files. The manual was not helpful. It lists MKV files as supported but I did not find any information on the audio formats allowed for MKV. To eliminate streaming as a possible cause for the problem, you could try playing the same MKV file from a USB stick to see if there is any difference.

Some Blu-ray players are not very good at media file playback. They only support a few types of media files and don't support playback of all the audio, and video formats allowed by the Blu-ray spec or PGS subtitles for media files. It is possible that DTS is supported for Blu-ray and DVD playback but not for MKV media files.
Ignore list: hello_hello, tried, TechLord, Snoopy329
