Want to buy Apex AD1500 but I need guidance

Hi,

I saw an APEX 1500 somewhere today (in the US), selling quite cheaply. About $60. I used to live in Singapore and would like some of my DVDs from there sent to me here in the US. Will this DVD player play those cds? I understand that DVD players don't necessarily play discs from different regions.

I also know that some of these players can be hacked. Keep in mind, the ones in Singapore play PAL, I understand.

I would like to get my hands on one that I can hack, if necessary.

What should I pay attention to when I do purchase this Apex 1500? There are so many things all over these posts. SV, A, B, C, D. I'd like to get one that does all of the above. If not, then my next best option in this model.

Can someone guide me? I appreciate your help.
