  1. How can i find defect frames with virtual dub and then cut them out.
    I need to do this because i always get an floating deciaml point error message in tmpec while converting avi to vcd

    try virtualdub with freeze frame detector from
    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html
    its a little over half way down the page "vdub_mp3_freeze.zip"
    with it load your video then go to the Video menu and select Check Video For Freezes at the bottom
    it will make a .log file of bad frames, open it with notepad to see what number the bad frames are
    then u should be able to use virtualdub, go to each frame and press delete, then save the movie again with direct stream copy under the video and audio menu
