    Handbrake cannot find file: C:\Program Files\dotnet\swidtag located on computer and therefore, cannot open. I installed .net 5.08. Running ver. 1.40

    it runs here, w8.1 with .net5. swidtag isn't a file, but a folder that you should have if .net installed properly. maybe try the handbrake standalone version.

    Reinstalled and changed to portable version-no soap! Windows 10 64bit. Works on Laptop and i7 computer.

    weird. do you have the swidtag folder in C:\Program Files\dotnet ? the proper .net5 install program is windowsdesktop-runtime-5.0.8-win-x64.exe

    Vidcoder did something interesting, it provided a portable copy of the framework as well as the portable copy of itself,
    so no install necessary
