    Hello,
i've decided share this because in all site see that people have same problem

i have easy cap chinese, cheap, of secondhand
and for rca for vhs image shake or jump or move up to down, can't use for capture

    but now after all
i have the "solution", is very simple

the solution is just use a cable rca to s-video, and conect vhs through "s-video"
now with this working perfect, image totally stable perfect!

you can buy any cheap, simple cable with rca_male <-> s-video_male

or if you don't have this cable you can build this using capacitor of 670fp, search tutorials

just try and tell me, regards

It is the weekend and most of the regulars are not here....

    But.....

I needed to check my calendar to satisfy me that it was not April 1 when you posted this.

In a word or three, there is nonsense and greater nonsense. I am struggling to decide which category your 'solution' should go in to.

But by all means clarify your solution with before and after captures from the same tape and sequence. Or merely read the difference between composite (RCA) and s-video and convince me (and others who have been doing this for more years than you will admit to) that you 'solution' actually has merit.

That's a really stupid "solution", aka not a solution at all.

    Easycap earned the nickname Easycrap.
What you suggest here is that s-video doesn't work, only the composite.

Even if true, the issue with Easycap is also with values. Your contrast, brightness, colors, etc -- all screwed up.

    for me work perfect
    you want a youtube video
    piece of jerk
    son of hooker
your mother is a hooker drink cum with VIH for one dollar

  5. I'm not sure how this would help unless you happened to use a composite->s-video converter of some sort that is an active converter that regenerates sync info and what not.

Vírus da imunodeficiência humana = VIH = HIV in English

It was an opportunity to put my Spanish classes (taken long ago and largely forgotten) to good use. Portuguese has similar grammar and many similar words. Oops, somehow I misremembered the OP's location when using Google Translate. Argentina is a Spanish-speaking country, so it's "virus de inmunodeficiencia humana"

Those simple bi-directional converters merely separate luma and chroma from a composite video source and combine luma and chroma from an S-video source. I don't see how one of those could correct jumpy video output from a VCR, which is reportedly caused by a mechanical problem.

It is possible that the capacitor in that adapter boosts the signal a little bit which boosts the timing signal as well so the crappy capture device can lock better since it expects a clean and high level signal from sources such as DVD players, game consoles and similar digital devices with analog output. Keep in mind most of those signal conditioners sold back in the 80's and 90's to supposedly clean the video signal didn't have any time base correction in them or any sort of chips just good old filter capacitors and resistors.
