How to repair a MKV?

I have a MKV file which can be played (in VLC) but seems to be not fully correct.

Example:
When I start to do some conversions for a video file and ffmpeg.exe a got an error:

I don't want to fiddle around with some parameters.

I want a simple solution.

So is there a "one-size-fits-all" solution

e.g. something like

ffmpeg.exe -checkandrepair -in=myvideo.mkv -out=myvideoout.mkv

Run it through mkvmerge,if it doesn't go through all the way then it's corrupt and no way to fix it.

Ok. Do I have to provide an (additional) cmdline parameter?

Nope,just use the gui.

I wanted to just say thank you. OBS crashed on me at the very end of a recording.

The file "played back" fine but showed an "unknown length" in windows and wondershare could only see the first 12 minutes.

I ran the file through the tool you linked (mkntoolnix) did nothing to change anything I just added it and it "fixed" the file. windows and more importantly wondershare could see the entire 39minutes instead of just the first 12 minutes.

I really did not want to rerecord all of that so thank you
