  1. Does anyone know of a way to add the time/date to 4K video like how the old family VHS tapes used to be? I know there is dts888 but the software will not let you use a high bit rate as i do not want to lose any quality.

    These are family videos in 4K shoot on a Sony RX100 with a data rate of 100Mbps. DTS has a max of 70.

    In which way? As meta tags in the container (maybe MKV, maybe MP4)?

    4K UHD is a resolution. It tells nothing at all about the video data format or the container format, so I am pretty clueless what exactly you want. I hope you do not want to "burn in" visible time stamps like subtitles.
