  1. Hey all--

Apologies is this a really dumb question or has already been answered but I can't find this info anywhere.

I have a few, ahem, friends on Yahoo who enjoy goofing around on their webcams. I would like to capture some of these moments, especially when they're drunk.

So, uh, how? What do I need? I basically KNOW NOTHING. I dunno how to find the url. I don't know what program I need. Do I need a capture card? Or is it streaming video? What format does yahoo broadcast in? No info is too basic cause I'm clueless here.

    Any answers would be appreciated.

You have to get their url from them. Once you have it, if their webcam is set up, you going to their site should bring the webcam view, provided they have it up and running and broadcasting to the Internet. You can then press the Print Screen button on your keyboard to capture to your clipboard pasting the clipboard image in paint will let you save it.
    Hello.

  5. I guess most people here are not interested in capturing low quality videos of drunk people, so dont expect too many replies Could camstudio cap video from yahoo? Any success, and what about sound?

Try setting up a capture script using Graphedit. There is a guide on capturing streaming video using Graphedit in the Guides section.
    ICBM target coordinates:
    26° 14' 10.16"N -- 80° 16' 0.91"W

  7. From the guide:
    "1.)Get the URL
Get the Url of the file you are going to capture."

How to find the url? i think screencapture is the way to go here, easier also for a not-so-important thing as this. Yahoo uses different stuff for video and voice, they will not be in the same stream. Thats one of the reasons why i want to hear from someone who tried camstudio for just this, its not important enough for me to start experimenting myself
