true... I love you and all, TGPO, but I have to have my own avatar...

(although I am absurdly proud that I was able to cobble together the effect I wanted on my work computer using crap tools... MS Paint and some freeware convertor to get it to jpg...)

except of course, it defaults to saving at about Q=5/100, so even a simple pic like that comes out at 77k, and you have to make it a GIF instead. forget i spoke





(whoa, i snagged a random portion of the pic, and it came out as 640x480, near enough.. whatre the chances of that happening)

I tend to use Photoshop..

My preference was JASC's Paintshop Pro for about 3 years. Then I had a chance to work with Photoshop 6 and now 7. If I don't use it for awhile, I spend more time trying to remember where everything is. Now after about a year, I use it about 98% of the time...

I just wish one of them would incorperate the .ico extension. I hate switching to Microangelo

personal preference - PSP7... mainly because it's just what was most easily available. Photoshop seems to have some nice features (like direct manipulation of size/rotation of pasted selections) but having seen my degree project professor struggling with all other aspects of the damn program it looks a bit less friendly than PSP's simple layout. What can it do that Jasc's product cant now?
