  1. I know this is really a n00b question but Im new so yeah...

    Im trying to rip a dvd to avi/divx, but one question, im using dvdx, what would the resolution be that im suppose to put in and how do I find out?

  2. im the wrong to answer bc im a noob too(hope this change soon) but if u have a dvd, i would make either a xvid or a svcd, bc divx sucks and svcd u can play with dvd-'players, divx not

  3. Hi m8,

    yeah, when using DVDx convert to SVCD as it is much better, the guide provided by dvdx is good, read that but basically do 480 *576 for PAL, and 480*480 for NTSC.

  5. erm, i aint too sure m8, i dont deal with that sort of stuff! i know that you can store 800megs of info onto an 80 Min CD-R so try for that! although i seem to remember that if you go to custom size in DVDx then it tends to go about 30MB above whatever you say, so type in about 770megs. jus have an experiment, or post this thing again cos i aint n e thing special when it comes 2 DVD decoding etc
