So what if there are read errors?
What percentage of the read errors out of the total disk size?

data2006, you got read errors with isobuster, makemkv, xreveal, and anydvd.

you've got read errors, on two different computers with two different operating systems.

you've been able to get a disc to read one day. and the next day/rip attempt it doesn't. and just produces errors ?

maybe the problems are the drive being used for ripping, the disc themselves. or something happening in the systems/ your computer(s)

you did mention a disc looking clean. but go ahead and clean it anyway. (it can't hurt)

and people have sometimes had problems with new discs being taken directly out if the shrink wrap. and sometimes cleaning has helped.

nothing to lose doing this. and probably not the problem. but let's try to eliminate all the issues we can think of.

  4. You also need a compatible drive to rip the disc. Check makemkv website and see if your PC bluray drive is listed or not. Dvdfab is expensive but it is the best one currently. Sometimes you won't get the latest disc decryption keys in trial version. Blue cloner is another one but I don't know how well it can handle new discs.

  5. I agree with the others the problem may be the optical drive.
If possible try another optical drive.
If another drive has errors then it is probably the disc itself.

  6. Hello,

I've now ripped a different Blu-ray of Once Upon a Time in the West.

I was able to successfully copy the main movie using MakeMKV.

So it seems something is wrong with my Shania Twain Blu-ray. Or the Blu-ray burner isn't compatible with this Blu-ray.
I only have one Blu-ray burner. I can't test another one.

    Best regards
    Heiko

  7. Hello.

I cleaned the Shania Twain Blu-ray a bit, and then I was able to successfully extract the concert video using MakeMKV.

    Thanks again!

    Best regards
