  1. Just wanted to follow up and say thanks to manono and DB83 for your help! DB83 - thanks especially for your encouragement to keep going!

After messing around a bit on PgcEdit, we've got it working! There were two core problems: the missing buttons (which I had found and posted about earlier) and an inserted command that those buttons would simply refresh the menu. All we actually had to do was delete that command and PRESTO! The two cases now work perfectly! I'll be burning a new version of the DVD with the two extra cases completely playable!

    That's excellent news.

That little cousin Percy Veerance can often work wonders.

Many thanks for the update - more often or not people come on here, ask for help, and one is none the wiser whether their problem was solved. And if they do come back with a positive those two little words (or even just the simple 'Thanks'), which seem to have gone out of favour these days, are typically missing.

Can you give more specifics on what you changed so that others can "fix" it themselves. Based on your description it sounds simple, just edit one file to delete one command, but DVD scripting isn't something I'm familiar enough to know where and what that is.

The OP has not been on here for over 6 months so I doubt if he will see your message.

I know he was contributing to some other specific forums so he might be found there.

My own contribution in this was quite small. Pardon the pun but he did all the detective work in solving this case. Our PM exchanges reveal that there were un-active buttons and the missing cases should be activated when the registers were set to 6 and 9 respectively. No real secrets there since I understand that was a simple matter of elimination.

But, without the basic knowledge of how pgcedit works, even a simple edit of two lines of the menu code and editing buttons you would still struggle.

Sorry if I sound mean but this really is not my case. And frankly I do not wish to potentially get in to any trouble with the makers of the game who obviously had good reason not to include them in the finished article in the first place.

  5. Any updates on a successful way to play these two scenarios? If so can someone upload a file onto google drive? Thanks

  6. Since an AI chat bot sent me here to get the answer, I think I have figured it out!

    With PGCEdit, Select VTST 1,2 TTN 1 (1:00) 17b.
-FYI 17b. means 17 buttons are located on the screen

    Under *****post commands:, Delete Line 5 and 6 (if (gprm(5) == 6 ) then (Goto line 8 ); if (gprm(5) == 9 ) then (Goto line 8).

Next, Click the big green MENU button in the tool bar; a new window will open so that you can program the "buttons" (they will be hidden because I don't know how to edit the picture of the menu screen). Click "Edit" button towards the bottom

The most important buttons to edit to make accessible are buttons 14 and 15. I personally placed the box for button 14 below button 11 (almost as if the hidden button is on the CLUE logo) and button 15 below button 12.
    - Button 14 should have "Set gprm(5) =(mov) 6 ;..." and Button 15 should have "Set gprm(5) =(mov) 9 ;..." ; hence why you removed the lines in the post command that ==6 and ==9.

You will want to change the X and Y positions for buttons 14 and 15; You will want to change your adjacent buttons for 1, 6, 11, 12, 14, and 15. (Follow other guides on how to make hidden buttons accessible if you get lost).

    Then Save DVD.

I was able to play the Folder in VLC and able to click my "hidden" buttons 14 and 15 with the mouse to start the Bonus Cases. FYI 14 is Christmas at the Mansion and 15 is A Dark and Stormy Night.

    Merry Christmas 2025!
