Hello guys,

i recently got a dmr es10 dvd recorder which i want to use as a passthrough device for my s-vhs tape player.

I use S-Video Output on my JVC S-VHS Tape Player go inside the S-Video In of the DMR ES10 and from there with S-Video Out to a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 .
(or I use instead of the JVC S-VHS Tape Player a HI-8 Camcorder with same setup -> S-Video Out to S-Video In on DMR ES10)

I don't go the way over the DMR ES10 I got my S-Video Signal instantly. It is pretty bad. Black Screens popping up randomly and so on...
JVC has already built in TBC which corrects that. But then I still got this problem with my HI8 Camcorder because it has no TBC.

For 2 Tapes it seemed to work and I got a Video Signal... but since then it seems like there is no Input anymore on the S-Video In side.
I plugged of the cables already and back in and other S-Video cables and so on... but seems that it does not work.

Maybe i did some settings wrong but as far as I know there is only a pretty simple menu in the ES10 which has the output option set to s-video and the input setting also set to s-video (it says AV2 Input (Scart) S-Video. <- did not understand that since the S-Video Input is labled AV4 on the back.. but it worked first .. so did not question this much.)
And yes I am on the AV4 signal. Switched it on Input on the remote control.

Long text little question:

Any recommendations why the S-Video Input seems not to work anymore? Is it the Connector itself? Should I solder in a replacement?
